Abigail Wilson

Abigail Wilson is a highly experienced British comedy and drama writer.

She is currently working on a Faye Weldon novel adaptation, as well as her second special for Hartswood Films & Sky One after her Christmas special, ROALD & BEATRIX: THE TAIL OF THE CURIOUS MOUSE, received critical acclaim and won Abigail a BANFF Rockie Award for Best TV Movie.

She also recently wrote the upcoming 6 part sitcom RUBY SPEAKING for ITVX, starring comedian Jayde Adams and produced by Lucy Lumsden at Yellow Door.

Abigail's episodic work includes TEN PERCENT for BRON Studios & Headline Pictures for Amazon, THE LARKINS for Objective Media & ITV, and an episode of Sky's URBAN MYTHS. Abigail has also written for some of Britain’s most beloved comedies, including TROLLIED and STELLA, and co-wrote all three series of BBC One’s JAM & JERUSALEM with Jennifer Saunders. She also recently wrote two episodes of Nutopia’s docudrama series THE ROYAL MOB for Sky History.

Off screen, Abigail also researched two of Dawn French's books ME. YOU. A DIARY. (2017) and DEAR FATTY (2008), and in 2011 she edited Jennifer Saunders’ book about Absolutely Fabulous, titled CONTINUITY.
