Ayeesha Menon is an award-winning writer and creator for stage, film and radio. She recently worked on Grantchester (ITV) and an original play called The Ramyana Reset for the National Theatre. In the audio category of Best Adaptation at the BBC Audio Drama Awards, Ayeesha’s adaptation of THE JUNGLE BOOK won in 2022 and A TALE OF TWO CITIES won in 2019. Her MIDNIGHT’S CHILDREN won the Outstanding Achievement award in 2018. She has also won Sony Awards for her adaptations of Q&A (Slumdog Millionaire) and THE CAIRO TRILOGY.
Ayeesha has written several adaptations for BBC Radio 4. Her original work includes INTO THE MAZE, THE ROYAL VISIT, TAKE OVER and three series of the Indian police detective series UNDERCOVER MUMBAI. She wrote the script for the Indian feature film THE WHITE ELEPHANT and her play PEREIRA'S BAKERY AT 76 CHAPEL ROAD opened ran in Mumbai and also had a reading at the Royal Court Theatre.
