Most recently Bonnie directed the six-part television series EXPOSURE, commissioned by Stan and distributed by All3Media International, premiering at the 2024 Sydney Film Festival. The series was produced through THIRDBORN by award-winning producers Nicole O'Donohue, Shaun Grant and Justin Kurzel.

Bonnie’s first foray into television was as the director of season 2 of LOVE ME (2023) for Warner Brothers Australia and Foxtel. The series was nominated for five awards at the 2024 AACTA Awards, with Heather Mitchell winning Best Supporting Actress in a Drama and Hugo Weaving winning Best Lead Actor in a Drama, for their respective performances.

Bonnie’s short film NOT DARK YET was nominated for the 2024 AACTA Award for Best Short Film, and premiered at the 2023 Melbourne International Film Festival, where she was selected to be a part of the MIFF Accelerator program.

Bonnie’s 2019 short film, WE'RE NOT HERE, was shot in rural Mexico and executive produced by John Logan (ALIEN: COVENANT, SKYFALL, and GLADIATOR). The film screened at MIFF and Outfest LA supported by HBO, as well as going on to win the Best Screenplay Award at the Melbourne Queer FF in 2020 and the Best Cinematography Award at The Reel Good Film Festival in 2021.

Bonnie began her career being mentored by esteemed Australian directors Glendyn Ivin and Garth Davis.

She assisted Garth on his debut feature film LION (2016), and again on his sophomore film MARY MAGDALENE (2018). Working with him for a third time, directing second unit on his feature film, FOE, starring Saoirse Ronan and Paul Mescal. With Glendyn, Bonnie was the director’s attachment on the BBC One series THE CRY (2018), going on to be 2nd Unit Director on his feature PENGUIN BLOOM (2021).
