Chloë Lawrence-Taylor

Chloë Lawrence-Taylor is a playwright from Oxford. Chloë studied playwriting on MA Text and Performance at RADA/Birkbeck. She is currently taking part in the Royal Court Theatre’s Long-Form Playwriting Group having been a member of their Intro Group in 2022/23. She has been commissioned by Women & Theatre (Birmingham) and worked with Clean Break Theatre Company. She is an alumnus of the Royal Court Theatre, the Old Fire Station, Broken Silence Theatre, the National Young Writer’s Programme at Pentabus Theatre, and is currently part of the Long-Form Playwriting Group at the Royal Court Theatre.

Chloë’s play WHEN THE HEAD BECAME A CAGE, THE HEART TOOK FLIGHT was longlisted for the RSC’s 37Plays scheme in 2023 while her play TRUE CRY was longlisted for the Bruntwood Prize for Playwriting in 2022.
