Dillon Mapletoft

Dillon Mapletoft most recently wrote, created and executive produced his original comedy series EVERYONE ELSE BURNS with JAX and NBC Universal for Channel 4, alongside frequent collaborator Oliver Taylor. The series stars Simon Bird, Kate O’Flynn, Lolly Adefope, Morgana Robinson and Amy James-Kelly as members of a religious order in modern-day Manchester and aired on Channel 4 in January 2023 as the biggest All4 Comedy launch since Derry Girls in 2018. The first series launched on the CW in the US in 2023 and was nominated for Best Comedy at the 2024 Broadcast Awards. A second series has since been commissioned by Channel 4.

Dillon and Oliver are also collaborating on a second original comedy drama series, an adaptation of their award-winning stage show FIX MY BRAIN, with Eleven Film. Dillon is currently in a writers' room for HBO’s THE FRANCHISE which Neal Street will produce and Sam Mendes will direct. He is also penning an episode of a new Netflix comedy drama created by BAFTA-winning writer Adam Kay.

Previously, he contributed additional material to the second series of Armando Iannucci’s sci-fi comedy AVENUE 5 (HBO / Sky), having begun his career as Iannucci’s assistant, and received the Dancing Ledge Writer in Residence bursary.
