Flora Wilson Brown is a writer and dramaturg based in London. Her first play I KNOW I KNOW I KNOW premiered at the Southwark Playhouse in 2022 (4* in The Guardian: “astute, impressive writing”). Her second play THE BEAUTIFUL FUTURE IS COMING was presented as part of the 2024 Footprints Festival at Jermyn Street Theatre. Flora has also written a musical for families with Intrepid Fools, VIKING which was presented at Underbelly for Edinburgh Fringe 2019.
She is a co-founder, alongside Harry Tennison, of DONOTALIGHT; a theatre company interested in new writing about living in the world today. DNA’s work is grounded in formal inventiveness and telling political stories through a personal lens.
Flora is interested in working collaboratively across a variety of genres and spaces. She is starting to work across Film & TV, working on a short film adaptation of I KNOW I KNOW I KNOW and an original comedy drama for TV. As a dramaturg Flora has worked on projects at the Edinburgh Fringe, the RSC, and the Orange Tree Theatre.
