Krishna Istha is a screenwriter, comedian, and performance artist. Most recently, they wrote on Netflix’s SEX EDUCATION (Season 4), and was one of the comedians featured on the Netflix Comedy Special HANNAH GADSBY’S GENDER AGENDA.
Krishna’s latest theatre show, First Trimester (★★★★★ Whats On Stage, ★★★★ Irish Times), is a one-of-a-kind durational experience, in which they interview hundreds of participants live on stage, in a quest to find them and their partner a sperm donor. In 2023, Krishna and their partner, Logan Rea, were awarded a Netflix Documentary Talent Fund, and made the short film SPERM DONORS WANTED! about the above.
As a writer/performer, Krishna works across TV, film, games and theatre. For Channel 4, Krishna was in a comedy short THIS AIN’T PRETTY WOMAN directed by Rosanagh Griffiths. Krishna was also a script/production consultant on the series MISSING YOU for Netflix. Currently, Krishna is writing their first feature, an original comedy film, for BBC Films.
