Liz Daramola

Liz is a playwright and comedy screenwriter from London. Her first play Bonhomié was developed with the Soho Theatre’s Writers’ Lab 2019-2020 and was shortlisted for the Tony Craze Award 2020 and longlisted for the Mustapha Maturo Award 2021. She has written two episodes of the children’s animated series PJ Masks which aired on Netflix in June 2023 and is writing for S3 of Zodiak Studios’ LoliRock. She’s currently writing a TV adaptation of the comic book Skate Cat Kate (now called Versions of Us, about a young woman’s university experience) with Emanata Studios’ (previously Beano Studios) and wrote a short film for The Big House’s community project The Open House 2024. She’s a graduate of the 2021-2022 Royal Court Writers’ Group, Oxford Playhouse Playmakers and BBC London Voices groups, and was Associate Development Producer at BabyCow in 2023, having completed a BBC Studios TalentWorks writers in residency scheme there earlier that year. Most recently she has been part of the NFTS/Leftbank Diverse Writers’ Development Programme 2024.
