Paddy is a Northern Irish writer based in Newcastle. He is a past graduate of Channel 4’s screenwriting course and Creative England’s iWrite Scheme as well as featuring on the BBC New Talent hotlist. His debut play WET HOUSE opened at Live Theatre, Newcastle to rave reviews, two sold-out runs and a transfer to Soho Theatre. Paddy’s short film script OX MOUNTAIN DEATH SONG was selected as BFI’s Network Pick of the Month in early 2018 with Elation Pictures/BBC Films going on to produce his short MR WHIPPY later the same year.

Most recently, Paddy was in the writer’s room for BODKIN, Barack and Michelle Obama’s first drama series for Netflix through their outfit Higher Ground Productions – he co-wrote the final episode of the series. He is currently writing a feature film for Elation Pictures/BBC Films/BFI and is developing an original drama series with Escapade Productions/42. He has a number of other screen projects in various stages of development with Escapade Pictures/3Arts, VAL and 42 US.
