With a 24-year career in the Parachute Regiment of the British Armed Forces, Paul’s unique military expertise and skills have been utilised in multiple, award-winning feature films, television miniseries, and gaming projects. Paul has also formed a trained company of advisors, some of whom were soldiers that had initially fallen on hard times since leaving the army, the business offering a new career start.
Paul’s work on set includes script consultancy with technical detail and terminology advice to deliver a realistic look to modern day and historical battlefield scenes, and extensive Bootcamps training sessions for leading and supporting cast.
Feature film credits include David Ayer’s FURY starring Brad Pitt, MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE – ROGUE NATION with Tom Cruise, Paul Greengrass’ JASON BOURNE with Matt Damon, Matthew Vaughn’s KINGSMAN: THE GOLDEN CIRCLE starring Colin Firth and Taron Egerton, Michael Bay’s TRANSFORMERS: THE LAST KNIGHT starring Mark Wahlberg, and Zack Snyder’s JUSTICE LEAGUE with Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Henry Cavilll and Jason Momoa.
Paul has also led his talents to multiple, large-scale battle driven projects including the training of hundreds of extras in military drills in Ridley Scott’s NAPOLEON biopic starring Joaquim Phoenix (opening November 2023), the BBC’s acclaimed adaptation of WAR AND PEACE, and Sam Mendes’ Oscar-winning WW1 feature film 1917. Further work includes the Yellowstone prequel 1923, DC Comics’ THE FLASH featuring Michael Keaton, INDIANA JONES AND THE DIAL OF DESTINY starring Harrison Ford, and Michael Caine’s final film, THE GREAT ESCAPER.
Upcoming releases include AMATEUR with Rami Malek, WONKA starring Timothée Chalamet, Guy Ritchie’s THE MINISTRY OF UNGENTLEMANLY WARFARE, and THE DAY OF THE JACKAL starring Eddie Redmayne.
Following the conclusion of the recent SAG strike, Paul will once again be working with Ridley Scott on the completion of his long-anticipated sequel to GLADIATOR, due for release in November 2024.
