Priya K. Dosanjh

Priya K. Dosanjh is a screenwriter, producer, dramaturg and theatre director with a background as a lawyer.

As a screenwriter, Priya currently has an original supernatural drama series, THE VEIL, in development with Gaumont, who have since gone on to blind commission a second original concept from her; another supernatural original in development with Chapter One; an adaptation of the graphic novel ADLER with Objective Fiction and a musical comedy feature for the Mark Gordon Company which she is co-writing with Yve Blake. She has also recently script edited a high-budget fantasy series for eOne. She is currently being mentored by Charlie Covell under the BAFTA/BFI Network Mentoring Scheme. Other screenwriting credits include CURFEW and THE FAMOUS FIVE, both for Moonage, where Priya previously worked in development and was mentored by Matthew Read.

Priya was also previously selected for the Regional Theatre Young Directors Scheme and training as a Director and Dramaturg at the Birmingham Rep before attending the NFTS in 2019, where she graduated with an MA in Producing and was a recipient of the Channel 4 Scholarship.

She has previously worked as an Assistant Director in theatre for Alexander Zeldin, Tessa Walker, Christopher Haydon and Sean Matthias and is now developing her short film REVERSE WARRIOR which will be her directorial debut.

Finally, as a producer Priya has produced award-winning short films including HEATWAVE (2019) which screened at festivals around the world and won 3 RTS Awards and the McLaren Award as well as being shortlisted for BAFTA LA.
