Rachel Alexander

Rachel is a talented young screenwriter and short story writer from Offaly, Ireland. She graduated last year from UAL with an MA in Screenwriting where she developed a heart-breaking but gorgeous, coming-of-age feature, AUBREY STRAWBERRY. Rachel’s is also developing an original TV series, IT’S ALRIGHT, MA, which explores the insidious nature of sexual assault in a close-knit rural town in Ireland. Rachel was recently awarded a place on this year’s Stowe Story Labs Connemara Writers’ Retreat where she worked on the pilot script. Rachel has had several of her short stories published both online and in print, and her short story GYM FLOOR won third place in the Flash Fiction category at Allingham Festival this year. Rachel’s writing is incredibly atmospheric and observant, and she deftly handles heavier subject matter with real sensitivity and a lightness of touch. Rachel is developing a number of ideas for Film & TV including a folk horror.
