danny@casarotto.co.ukRoger is an Emmy, WGA and WGGB award winning British writer best known for his work on the hit political comedy series VEEP. Roger has worked closely with Armando Iannucci throughout his career: as a main writer on the acclaimed TIME TRUMPET, as a core part of the writing team on the third and fourth series of THE THICK OF IT, on four series of HBO’s VEEP on which Roger was also a Supervising Producer, and on Iannucci’s latest comedy series AVENUE 5 for HBO. In 2015 Roger won a Primetime Emmy Award for his writing on the fourth series of VEEP.
Roger has recently written across the first series of Netflix's new original comedy series THE PENTAVERATE, created by and starring Mike Myers. He has also had several comedy special scripts commissioned by Sky Arts for their Urban Myths strand. The first, WHEN CARY GRANT INTRODUCED TIMOTHY LEARY TO LSD aired in 2017 and was produced by Two Brothers and starred Aiden Gillen as Leary and Ben Chaplin as Grant. His second script ALICE COOPER & SALVADOR DALI was produced by Emmy Award winning producer Krish Majumdar and starred David Suchet and Noel Fielding. He is currently writing on DEUTSCHLAND ’89 for UFA Fiction as well as writing for Rockstar Games.
