Roxy is a half-British, half-Russian writer director from London working across theatre and TV.
Her first play A WOMAN WALKS INTO A BANK won the Theatre503 International Playwriting Award in 2023 and was a Finalist for the 46th Susan Smith Blackburn Prize, previously shortlisted for the Women’s Prize for Playwriting 2021 and longlisted for the Verity Bargate Award and Bruntwood Prize, both 2022. Roxy directed the premiere production at Theatre503 which had a total sell-out, critically acclaimed run and extended in a first for the venue. The play was one of three English language plays selected for Eurodram 2024 and received 4 Off-West End nominations including Finalist for Most Promising New Playwright and Best Performance Ensemble.
Roxy previously worked as a director of new writing. Highlights include associate directing Jon Brittain’s Olivier award winning play ROTTERDAM in 2015-19, working with Rob Drummond on THE MAJORITY at the National Theatre in 2017, directing the world premiere of Michael Ross’ HAPPY TO HELP at the Park Theatre in 2016, and running new writing company Zut Alors Theatre.
Alongside writing, Roxy works in script development for TV - currently as Development Executive for Paper Entertainment. Roxy has previously worked for 4Screenwriting, the BFI and Brock Media.
