maya@casarotto.co.ukSarah Morgan is a British film and TV writer working in the US and UK. She began her career in TV and radio comedy, writing on shows including NOT GOING OUT, DAVE GORMAN’S MODERN LIFE IS GOODISH, HORRIBLE HISTORIES, FULLY BLOWN and THE BAFTAS.
Sarah’s recent work includes writing episodes of the YA global smash hit GEEK GIRL for Ruby Rock/Netflix, and Romesh Ranganathan's ROMANTIC GETAWAY for Ranga Bee/Sky.
Sarah has a lifelong love of genre and dark humour - she hosted her own podcast, THE FEAR (Great Big Owl), examining the intersection between comedy and
horror, and co-wrote the double Eisner nominated sci-fi graphic novel BUBBLE (with Jordan Morris). She also adapted the horror graphic novel REDLANDS for UCP/NBC Universal.
In the works, Sarah is developing a female-fronted heist drama and a high concept thriller for major broadcasters, and has recently worked on a long anticipated video game sequel (TBA). She has created pilots for many major broadcasters and producers including APPLE, CHANNEL 4, BBC STUDIOS, SKY, FX, UCP/NBC UNIVERSAL, FABLE, ITV, and CBS International.
Sarah enjoys working across all styles of writing and genre, including film, TV, stand up, audio narrative and graphic novels. She is a much-respected script editor known for working with emerging talent, as well as on international productions such as Nick Mohammed’s spy comedy INTELLIGENCE (Sky/Peacock), and dramas LOVE ADDICTS and KRANK (Sky Deutschland).
As a film writer, Sarah was recently placed on the prestigious 2024 The Brit List - a list of the best unproduced scripts of the year as nominated by the UK film and TV industry. Her folk horror screenplay, LOVESONG (producers: The Imaginarium) is described as “a love story about horror, and a horror story about love”.
She is currently working on her first short as a writer/director with Riff Raff films.
