Simeon Thornton

Simeon is a new writer who has had a successful career in government as the chief economist of the Department for Energy and Climate Change and now works for the Competitions and Markets Authority. He is passionate about writing for the screen, whether drama, thrillers or comedy. His work often touches on politics and themes of idealism versus compromise. He wrote an enormously impressive spec pilot script and outline, THE OUTSIDER, a political drama series which was under option to Fifty Fathoms and he is currently developing a thriller, SOVEREIGN, about the infiltration of a multinational by British security forces and writing the pilot episode of an art crime series, HOT ART, with US producers Landscape Films for cable channel Ovation. His writing is robust, witty and compassionate.
