Titas is a writer and director working across Theatre, Film and Music. He is currently Associate Artistic Director at the Donmar Warehouse.
His first two plays RUN THE BEAST DOWN and ESCAPE THE SCAFFOLD saw him nominated for Best Writer at the inaugural Stage Debut Awards and acclaimed as a rising star playwright. The same year, his play THE BASEMENT was a finalist for the Verity Bargate Award. Most recently, his play REPLICA premiered at the National Theatre as part of NT Connections 2024.
For screen, Titas is currently writing a feature film for Storyteller Productions and a feature film entitled HAULED for Frogspawn Film. Titas was selected for BBC Voices 2024 and is working on a new original pilot as part of the scheme. He is also developing an original TV series with MGC.
Previously, he was Associate Director at the Kiln Theatre, Creative Associate at the Bush Theatre and a Staff Director at the National Theatre. As a director he trained as Resident Assistant Director at the Donmar Warehouse, on the National Theatre Studio Directors Course and with directors Michael Grandage, Jamie Lloyd and Roger Michell. As a writer he trained on the Royal Court Theatre Young Writers’ Programme.
He is represented as a director by Nick Frankfort at MGC. His plays are published by Oberon Books and Methuen Drama. He performs and records as musical artist Titas and the Fox.
